I already have 5.2 certification and I’m currently looking at becoming 5.3 certified. If anyone is even considering thinking about doing the certification, then I seriously say go for it! The benefits it has for your career are great!

I totally agree with the parts about reading the String & Array sections of the manual. I read through the entire thing when studying for 5.2. The study guide is also a great starting point.
